Here is how it goes:
1. Each session lasts for approximately 3 minutes

We hold Speed Dating events in private lounges or upmarket bars. This makes for a great atmosphere and gives you the opportunity to stay afterwards and carry on talking to the people you've just met.
We start the speed dating early on - that's the ice breaker! When you arrive, our staff will be on hand to assist you with registration. Guests are treated to an appetizing dinner from our buffet table. Afterwards, you will be given a scorecard, a pen and a badge. After each 3-minute date you mark on the scorecard whether or not you would like to see them again. So, if you tick eight people and four of them tick you, you will receive four matches. We will be giving you the match results 15 minutes after the event, its that easy!

Speed Dating offers a fun and safe alternative to the singles bar scene. There is the advantage of meeting face to face and even though there is a limited time to converse, usually time is enough for you to determine if there is a spark and decide if you would like a second date. Aish HaTorah, an international Jewish educational network, created Speed dating and owns the service mark Speed Dating. Speed Dating was originally started as a way of keeping Jewish singles from marrying outside their faith. The Speed Dating movement expanded out of the Jewish community and is now recognized in secular communities around the world.
3. What do I do upon arriving?
Check in with the Speed Dating coordinator who will give you a name badge with an assigned table number. Six Degrees requests that everyone arrives early for you to mingle and enjoy dinner before the activity begins.
4. What if I am late in arriving?
Six Degrees arranges each Speed Dating event with an equal number of single men and women. If you arrive late, you rob yourself and other attendees a chance at meeting. It is very important to be on time..
5. What happens when the seating begins?
Each Speed Dating single will be asked to sit at the table with the same number as his/her assigned number. For example, if you were assigned #8, you would begin by sitting at table #8. The Speed Dating coordinator will then explain to you that each time a bell is rung, men will move to the next table to meet the next single. Each encounter will last approximately three to five minutes.
